| Hank Van Joslin was born at the Marine Corps Base in Quantico, Virginia, the son of Colonel Henry Van Joslin, a highly decorated WWII, Korea & Vietnam veteran. The Colonel’s brother and brother in law both attended the U.S. Naval Academy and were WWII veterans. Hank’s brother is a retired United States Marine Corps. Colonel who served as an experimental test pilot. The natural call for Hank would have been that of military service, however this was not possible since in his senior year of high school at age 17, he broke his back leaving him without movement from the waist down. A determined young man, he opted to attend college instead of convalescing at home or in a hospital. He attended class for the first year and half laying on the classroom floor. By the time he graduated he walked only aided by a foot drop brace – most believe this was a miracle recovery. Having not been able to serve in the US Armed Forces like the rest of the brave men in his family, Hank has been looking for a way to “be brave”. The bravery he proposes to all Americans with The 100 Million Person Hometown March can never be compared to the bravery and sacrifices of our men and women in uniform . It is however a small and VERY Powerful way to stand up for what YOU believe in . Don’t just talk about it in the privacy of your home or with like-minded co-workers – wear it on Your Chest , wear your "I Am American" pin, Be Brave – let everyone know that you too are fighting in this battle to preserve freedom and that you do honor those would have given so much for us to enjoy it. Hank and his wife Lori own and operate a top producing privately held real estate company – Van Joslin Real Estate in The Woodlands, a beautiful master planned community just north of Houston , Texas. |
